Contact Us – land tours

We host a small number of land tours in early Spring. If interested, use the form below to let us know.

First, please read this description about the terrain to assure you (and others in your party) will be able to comfortably walk for about an hour:

“Turtle Rock” consists of woods and meadows on a gentle slope, with one section of steep slope. Trails and walking areas are rough, with roots, rocks, twigs, and leaf litter underfoot. The ground is uneven, sloped, and natural. Occasionally dead limbs fall from trees as in any woodland. This property is gently tended as wild and natural land: in other words, this is not a groomed garden with groomed trails. Insects may include ticks and mosquitos, same as any woods in the region.

You will be asked to sign a form on site that you acknowledge this description, and that you waive all liability claims and will walk this land at your own risk.

Please let us know in this form

  • how many adults
  • how many children
  • dates available

Note: children need to be able to stay on the trail with the group and not disturb plants, rocks, animals…the wild land.

Also: Other dates are possible by appointment for native plant advocates or nature groups. Use the form to contact us and tell us of your interest.

Please let us know the >>>number of people<<< in your party. If children, let us know number and ages. Note that young ones need to be able to stay on the trail with the group and not disturb terrain, plants, or animals. If not interested in a tour, feel free to send a note.
When are you available?
The above shows dates that remain available. We may add additional weekends in May. Tours begin at noon and are limited and weather dependent. So please check all the dates you are available for two hours on site (the walk with no rest breaks will be about an hour).
You understand the sloped terrain and rough trails, and want to visit.
Reiterating: this is our private home with ten acres of woods, meadow, and ponds. It is not a park nor groomed like one. By asking to tour the land, you confirm you (and anyone with you) are able to walk for about an hour over this wild and rough terrain.
